Joe Blenkle (Editor/Publisher) - has been skiing since 1976 - and writing about the sport of skiing for as nearly as long. In 1985 he created a newsletter called Sacramento Ski News which eventually evolved into the tabloid-sized newspaper Sierra Ski News. Joe is the former Sports Editor of two weekly Northern California newspapers. In 1996 he turned his newsletter "electronic" with this online edition of Sierra Ski News. He also is producing several other web pages found through links on the Sierra Ski News page -  "Our goal is to keep skiers up-to-date on everything happening in the Sierra - even during the summer months."
    Sharlene Blenkle (Editor/Publisher) - has been a skier since 1982 and has been a valued contributor to Sacramento Ski News since its first issue appeared in Sacramento area ski shops back in 1985. Known for her blazing speed on the computer keyboard and sharp eye through the camera viewfinder, she's looking forward to carrying on the tradition of SSN in the electronic media provided by the internet. "Sierra Ski News will allow us to be more timely in presenting news to the skier as we head into the 21st century It will be a fun adventure - both for us to produce and for the reader to read online."
  Sam Morishima (Contributing Editor) - Founder of SnoZone (in Sacramento, 1999) and Endless Slope (in San Francisco, 2003) ski and snowboard school. Sam first began teaching skiing in 1969 while in high school. Sam has been an instructor at Adventure Ski and Snowboard school and a director of the school at Sun and Ski and other schools.  Sam consults for the ski and snowboard industry in the areas of urban ski and snowboard parks and revolving ski decks. He also has a career in the medical industry in International business, business development and marketing consultation.  He is a contributing writer for Sierra Ski News, writing about ski and snowboard training since 2001. Sam believes that skiing and snowboarding is an essential part of life that can contribute to one's well being both physically and mentally.     Louie the Chimp (Contributing Editor) - Although Louie is now semi-retired from writing, his name may still occassionally pop up in the online edition of Sierra Ski News from time to time. Louie is better known as "Jack" - the character he has played in a series of movies including the wildly popular "MXP: Most Xtreme Primate," where he shows off his talents as a snowboarder. Louie has also skateboarded and played ice hockey in films, as well as playing super-sleuth spy "Minkey" in the movie "Spymate." Louie currently lives in Auburn, California with the rest of his family. Despite his busy schedule he still snowboards whenever he can.
